Creating a good vision for your life is incredibly important in actually being able to be successful in life. Setting goals for the various areas in your life will help you determine your priorities and how you live your daily life.
Dr. Josh shows you how to breakdown your goals into the following 5 areas:
- Spiritual
- Physical
- Professional
- Relational
- Recreational
Dr. Axe, we lived in New Zealand for 6 years. It is one of those must-see and must-experience places. There is not a cleaner, more beautiful place on earth.
I agree! My husband and I just spent 9 months traveling in New Zealand and loved it! It was Dr. Axe’s motivation that helped us set goals for saving money and actually buying that plane ticket ;)
Dr. Axe,
I love this idea!!! You are so right we do get discouraged if we lose our vision. I want to do this idea with Gabby and our entire family!! You are truly an amazing person and you are being used by God in so many ways. I am so blessed to have found you and your entire staff at Exodous! Thank you for your passion and love for God and good health. You lift me up!!
Thank you,
Valerie Vanatta
This is great how you included the STRATEGY with the dreams! Congrats on your accomplishments thus far and a green-drink-cheers to many more.
Thank you for this information about the vision board and your health ministry.
Just what I needed for today. An inspirational message. I knew all of this stuff, but this is going to get me up and actually doing it!!! Thanks Josh!
Love it! This will be a great project for my family to do individually and as a family. Thanks for the idea of a vision board to help me teach goal setting to my children!
Dr. Axe, thank you so much for doing a segment on this topic and saying how important this aspect of life is. So many people are physically healthy and really care about working out and looking good, but so often forget that it is more important to be spiritually and mentally “fit”. Thanks again for pointing this out and a way to go about it. Blessings!
Awesome idea! I must do this Thanks for the inspiration!
Balance and goals in life are essential, otherwise the daily task take over. Love your vision board! It’s so neat and organized! I have layed out goals & plans in a notebook, only to stack it away with other reading materials. The visual board is a great visual, motivating asset! Thanks for passing on your wisdom! We love you.
Can I get the notes to your vision board video?
Back in the ’90′s I created a vision board on poster board and put it on my wall in my bedroom. I kept it all these years.
A few years ago, when I was packing up to move, I came across it and was amazed to see that I had accomplished probably 98% of everything I had posted on there.
It really does work! But, you must have it in plain sight and look at it every day.
This is a great video, Doc, and I’m glad you did it.
Oprah created a website where you can do a vision board electronically and put on your computer as a screensaver. Although I don’t see it as being as effective as physically passing by it all day at home, it IS FUN to do! Here’s the link: http://www.oprah.com/packages/o-dream-board.html
I have heard him mention this on his podcasts and have wanted to look at what this is…maybe you can help me remember to watch this when I have time.
Love ya,
Well, didn’t realize this was going to post here but thought it was going into the email I was sending of this. I still love y’all though :D
Would love to watch the video but it’s not loading!
This is a really good idea–Love it–Thanks for sharing
There are some free online sites where you can create a vision board if you don’t feel like physically making one.
The advantage of a real one of course is that it is there to remind you every day but you have to remember to look at the online one.
Looking at it every day has a subtle effect on the subconscious.
It is a vision board!…like the one in this show I saw. It was a cute show and the vision board idea was a great one. Though they poked a little fun at it, even in this t.v. show they were still able to show people that vision boards do hold value. Visualizing and writing down our ideas, putting the thought out there, does work. I am pleased to see the idea is truly a serious one and not something that I was going to do because it was a good idea, that I saw on a random t.v. show. Lol. Thank You.
Your great! Thanks for all the advice, this is something we have been wanting to do and now have the right format to put it in place and action….
