Do I need to worry about mercury?
Hi Catherine,
That’s a big reason I recommend only buying wild-caught salmon. You can read more about the difference between wild-caught and farmed fish in my article: http://www.draxe.com/the-dangers-of-farmed-fish/
Love your cooking videos!
Great video! Oats work really well for salmon patties, too (instead of the crackers). Way cheaper and with fewer ingredients than crackers (a nice soy-free version) :)
Thank you for the soy free option. Can you tell me what kind and how much?
Oh Man! That looks tasty! I love salmon. I buy wild caught salmon at walmart in the frozen sections where the fish is. It’s in a light red bag and comes with four pieces. I agree with staying away from farm raised salmon. Salmon is a staple in my diet.
Thank you so much for the emails. I really appreciate you getting the word out about eating and being healthy the correct way. I have been made fun of for years for my stance on this way of eating.
If you take a little of the salmon juice out and mix it with a little baking soda (non aluminum of course) let it bubble up while you mixing the rest of the patty then add it in before you pat them out….. the patty will fluff up in the pan while frying and it makes the patty less dense and more fluffy.
Love your work. Please make your videos compatible with iPad, thanks.
Why is there a difference between your written recipe and your video recipes?
Made these for lunch today and they were soooo good! I used gluten free mango curry chips blended into crumbs instead of the crackers and it came out great. Love the oats idea too.
Christina- great tip, thanks for sharing!
