I just learned about Dr. Axe, who is also a chiropractor, that has a new book called, The Real Food Diet Cookbook. He has some amazing, healthy recipes. Thanks, Tracy T., for sharing him on your FB page. :-) He has a great website at draxe.com with educational articles and information to transform your health.
What about adding a scoop of the raw protein and your greens mix to turn into a protein shake?
Yes, you could put some Raw Protein or Greens in the shake and would hardly notice a difference.
Dr. Axe….does the coconut mild need to be organic? I know that is usually the case with other foods. By the way, I got the cookbook for my wife and she loves it!! Thanks!
It doesn’t necessarily have to be Organic. I’m glad your loving the cookbook :)
Dr Axe,
What brand of cocoa powder is best to use?
What an awesome recipe and healthy way to enjoy yourself.
I first heard Dr. Josh Axe on radio. I love the show and have made a few of his dishes and the green shake has helped a lot. Moving away from caffine is a great feeling. We just recently puchased coconut oil and coconut milk to try something different. We are also moving away from milk.
I have been diagnosed with relasping remitting MS. I am no longer taking Provgil for wakefulness and have refused daily injectable drugs since 1997. I feel more alert with the green shakes which we add ground flax seed to. I take a disolvable B complex and avoid eating bread.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me and my family.
If you can provide me with more lowering inflamation ideas I would be grateful.
Warm Regards,

My daughter-in-law is wanting to move away from dairy but has a dilemma. She has a child who is nearly 1 year old and needs certain fats in her diet for the next year. Would you recommend coconut milk as an alternative? Is there another alternative to dairy for babies?
Hi JoAnn!
I’m not sure how old your question is but I have an 8 month old and have been researching what to do when she is around 1 and cannot have dairy. Check out this article and recipes:

I will be trying either the almond of coconut based dairy free milk in a couple of months and gradually begin weaning.
Good luck!
