It’s likely that you’ve heard about the detrimental effects of the stress hormone cortisol. Elevated cortisol levels can affect every physiological system in your body including your thyroid and adrenal glands. It can make you anxious and irritable, lead to weight gain and bone loss, contribute to diabetes and heart disease risk, and deplete your energy levels.
Cortisol is also known as the aging hormone. When cortisol gets too high it puts you into a “fight or flight” response which stimulates your sympathetic nervous system and your adrenal glands. When this occurs there is a decrease in your digestive secretions and a increase in blood pressure. This puts your body in a state of constant stress which will burn out your adrenal glands, stress your digestive tract, and cause you to age more rapidly. So if you want to look younger, feel younger, and be healthy you must get your cortisol levels balanced.

Menopause is a natural part of the aging process; not a medical illness or condition as some think it is. When it comes to dealing with menopause the hardest part is often the emotional and physical side effects it brings along.
When most of us hear the word testosterone we think of puberty and men in their twenties sowing their oats. We also tend to think of bulky body builders pumped up and maxed out. However testosterone plays many more roles in the health of both men and women than many of us realize.
There’s no doubt about it, we all want a luxurious, full head of hair. How many of us stare in awe at the supermodels with long locks of gorgeous hair, thinking ‘if only!” We gaze at Brooke Shields, Farrah Fawcett, and Jenifer Aniston in envy. Although hair loss is most commonly associated with men, women also suffer from this problem – and sadly it’s less acceptable for women to have thinning hair or any hair loss. In fact, according to the American Academy of Dermatology there are near 30 million women in America alone suffering with one type of hair loss or another.
